Junior School raised an amazing £6400 over Charity Week through an array of activities. 

The money raised will help to restore or save the sight of over 290 adults in Sri Lanka, who would otherwise not be able to afford the treatment and be functionally blind for the rest of their lives.

As part of the fundraising efforts, the Staff and Junior School Monitors played a very competitive game of football, over £400 of coppers were donated by our Copper Run Challenge and the pupils came up with ingenious fundraising games to play at lunchtime.

In addition, the Junior School pupils sold over 500 slices of pizza, 600 toasties and even more cans of pop and confectionery to Senior School pupils.

Mark Penney, Head of Junior School, said: "With remarkable support and the children's boundless energy and enthusiasm, we have raised a wonderful amount. 

"It's a triumph of community and I'm very grateful for the enormous part everyone has played in supporting and encouraging children to do something very worthwhile for those less fortunate than themselves."
