Since September of this year Solihull School has been running a school app for iPhone and Android which parents, staff and pupils can use to access news, information and parent and student portals. Our app provider has recently updated the platform to give users the best service.

The update will now mean the app is quicker at updating, and downloading the app will also be faster for new users. New items will also catch your attention with a ‘!’ indicator which will appear on the app home screen. This means users can find new content easily but phones won’t be bombarded with irritating notifications.

A search function has also been added for ease of navigation and the calendar function has been redesigned to help when scrolling through events. Those using the app on iPad or tablet also have the opportunity to view the app in landscape. 

All of these updates are in addition to our calendar, newsfeed, term dates, school policies and contact information which are all available on our app, meaning parents and pupils can access up-to-date information in seconds, from anywhere.
