Outdoor Education
At Solihull Preparatory School our Forest School lessons involve practical hands-on activities which aim to build up pupils’ skills, abilities and confidence week by week. All sessions are planned by the Forest School Leader; however, Forest School encourages participant led learning. Therefore, as the weeks progress, learners will be given more freedom to explore their own interests and thus initiate and dictate their own learning during sessions. Forest School uses natural materials to stimulate children’s imagination, creativity and investigation.
“Forest School is an inspirational process that offers ALL learners regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in a woodland or natural environment with trees.”
