Benchers, Heads of School & House Captains
Benchers
The Bench, Solihull prefectural body, like the Heads of School, is selected via a combination of pupil and staff voting and general feedback. Each section of the Senior School has its own 'Bench', though whilst the duties and requirements of the Lower School and Middle School teams are section specific, the Sixth Form Bench operates on behalf of the whole school.
Heads of School
The Heads of School are elected annually via a combination of pupil and staff voting and general feedback. Their primary responsibility is to run 'The Bench', our senior prefectural body. The Heads of School orchestrate and manage the duty requirements that the school has of 'The Bench', a number totalling approximately 50. Throughout their period of office, the Heads of School are directly involved in all the year's major events and occasions, for example Open Mornings and New Parents' Welcome Evenings.
House Captains
There are two Sixth Form House Captains from each House, who work together to organise the school's House events, and their House's participation. The school hosts House competitions in every area of co-curricular and academic life, including sport, chess, debating and performing arts.
