We are strong believers that a good Early Years education has a huge impact on life outcomes. The first five years of a child’s life are vitally important as they are the foundation that shapes a child’s future health, happiness and development.

We are fortunate to have a beautiful site on the Saint Martin’s campus and in our Nursery we make use of it every day.  As well as having a well-equipped Nursery and outdoor space, each week we also visit Forest School, enjoy PE, have a swimming lesson in our pool and a music lesson with a specialist teacher.

In Nursery the children enjoy an exciting play-based curriculum, with a mix of child and teacher-led activities. When they are ready, they take their first steps in learning to read and write. We will introduce your child to phonics, reading and number and topic-based learning. Our bright and secure classrooms are stimulating, with lots of equipment for dressing up fun, messy and sensory free play, painting, using iPads, role-play, reading and creativity.

We involve all our pupils in school life, so even our youngest pupils have opportunities to participate in sports day, charity events and a Christmas performance too. Guaranteeing a 1:8 adult to child ratio, we ensure that each child receives plenty of individual attention and has every opportunity to thrive.
